Ildikó Szabó and Katalin Falus: Political Socialization in Central Europe. The Case of Hungary This study discusses the historical legacy of political socialization in Central Europe. It analyzes political conversions, double socialization, asymmetries in peoples relationship to politics, the traditions of political autarchy and direct political socialization, and the limits to the expression of collective identities in these countries. Then, referring to the example of Hungary, it describes the impact of the political transformation of 1989-1990 on political socialization.
