Éva Szabolcs : History of education and pedagogy This article attempts to reveal trends in interpreting the position and function of history of education as a social science. Such an outlook may offer valuable information for those interested in the history of education in Hungary. Much of the article is based on a volume published in Barcelona 1992 within International Standing Conference for the History of Education.
